N.B.: You can use Wifi Italia Lite regardless you have a network connection or not. In case you haven't, then you can display only the LIST of hotspots nearby you. A network connection is necessary only to locate the hotspots on the MAP and to suggest a new hotspot. ---------------------------------------- If you are travelling along Italy and you need to find out where WiFi hotspots are located (either for free access or by payment), this application allows you to display both on a map and as a list all the available hotspots till a range of 25 Km from your current position. WiFi Italia Lite is the FREE version of the application which contains a non-upgradable hotsposts database, whereas the commercial version (WiFi Italia) allows you to upgrade the hotsposts database as soon as new WiFi access points (hotspots) become available in the DB. Features: - You can suggest a new hotspot to be added. - You can set the following filters: :: the range in Km (up to 25 Km) :: the access point category (e.g. airports, hotels, malls, fairs, etc.) :: only free WiFi access points (Yes/No) - Each available hotspot can be displayed on a map or on a list grouped per 5 Km range. - For each hotspot the following information is provided: :: name of the access point :: address (street, number and city) :: supported protocol (e.g. 802.11g)
